| Ireland
- North East
The North Eastern
corner of Ireland contains two of the world's great
courses in Royal County Down and Royal Portrush, the
only problem is determining which on eyou like best.
.
Ireland - North West
The North West is
often overlooked as a golfing destination, but there are
signs it is starting to emerge. County Sligo is the
current headline act, but in time Carne may come to be
regarded as one of the great world courses, not just the
region.
Ireland - South
East
The city of Dublin
boasts fine links courses such as Portmarmock,
Portmarnock Links, Royal Dublin and The Island on its
doorstep. To the North of the city lies County Louth, to
the South lies the European Club.
Ireland - South
West
The South West of
Ireland could almost be considered part of the United
States, given the high volumes of golfers visiting each
summer. The main reason is the Old Course at Ballybunion,
but this is backed up by its sister Cashen Course,
Lahinch, Tralee, Waterville and now Doonbeg. |
