England
In England, we
feature 49 courses including 4 that are currently on the Open
Championship rotation (Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham & St Annes,
Royal Liverpool and Royal St George's). Although often overlooked
as a links destination, England has surprising strength in depth
with an additional 15 courses in the British Isles Top 100.
Wales
At present, a
relatively undiscovered golfing destination. We include details of
16 courses, including Royal Porthcawl the site of the 1995 Walker
Cup and 3 other courses in the British Isles Top 100 (Royal St
David's, Aberdovey and Tenby).
Ireland
Ireland continues
to press Scotland as the pre-eminent golf destination this side of
the Atlantic and we include details of 42 links courses. These
include 6 courses in the World Top 100 (Royal County Down, Royal
Portrush, Lahinch, Ballybunion, European Club and Portmarnock)
plus a high quality supporting cast.
Scotland
The home of golf,
and in particular links golf with 74 courses featured. Home to 5
of the courses on the current Open Championship rotation (St
Andrews, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, Turnberry and Muirfield) plus
another 3 in the World Top 100 (Royal Dornoch, Kingsbarns and
Cruden Bay).
